I agree that Smart TVs are a better innovation then 3D TVs. 3D TVs to me always feel like I’m watching a Viewmaster. Unlike a movie where there is “space” in front of and above the audience so that 3D can be used to an advantage by making things pop out of the screen – 3D Tvs mainly work so that you feel like you’re watching inside a 3 dimensional box. 3D movies fill your field of vision while 3D TVs are like…..looking inside a box.

Even if you don’t have a Smart TV – you have lots of options to make it smart – from Apple TV, to Roku, Boxee, Tivo or your laptop hooked up to your regular TV – it all gives consumers more choice.

I cancelled both services. I know there is no direct replacement per se as there is not another subscription service, but Amazon’s VOD is fine with me. I can get all the movies I want and if I don’t watch much more than two a month, the price is the same as a Netflix subscription. I think if Apple wanted to flat out take this market they could very easily with an iTunes subscription for movies. Don’t know that they will, but I’d love to see it.

So you cancelled the DVD service or both DVD and streaming? There is no substitute for the Netflix streaming service right now. I cancelled my DVD service as well but kept streaming and have substituted, as you have, with Amazon VOD. I even went as far as purchasing Amazon Prime 1) To check out the streaming service (paltry compared to Netfliix) and B) For the free shipping.

Cancelling Netflix streaming is a little premature considering the lack of credible lternatives, don’t you think?

I call myself an independent because I voted for Clinton and Bush. I like Obama and I used to like John McCain before he sold out every value he ever believed in. I’m looking for the right people to run the ship; good, smart, capable people. There are times when the Democrats make me nuts and times when the Republicans make me nuts. I am an independent because I truly don’t care about party. I also dislike ideologs on either side of the fence.

it is gourmet black, i’d offer you latte and mocha but those have 14g of sugar, let me know.
